At some point you have been a customer; it doesn’t have to be an online customer, it could be in a shop, market, coffee shop or even buying a roti on the street. So, let’s think about a supermarket you have used, you may not realize it but you probably think about the service you receive from when you walk in the shop till when you have finished. This includes what you see as you walk through the door, where the items are positioned on the shelf, the store layout, how the staff working there respond to you, what the products are like, and of course, it’s natural to think about how much it all cost. We can now take those ideas of what you like from a traditional retail store, change what you don’t like, and use this as the basis of your service on your website. 

Your website needs a theme and clear branding, make sure the colors stand out but also represent what your website is about. The layout needs to be clear and if you have multiple items you need to add a clear and simple filtering mechanism. Remember the end goal is to sell items so if your customer is looking for something make it easy for them to find. Make your policies clear and concise, especially your delivery policy, remember to make everything crystal clear and simple for everyone that looks at your website.
